Matthew Pierce FNAEA MARLA
DIRECTORMatthew has worked in Claygate for over 37 years, he has an unrivalled wealth of knowledge about the local property market and maintains an extensive list of clients past and present. He holds a Certificate in Estate Agency having studied at the Polytechnic of Central London in 1989. He is a fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents and a member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents. Matthew has lived in Claygate village for many years and is a well-known member of the local community. In his spare time he likes to pursue his passion for playing his drums with gigging bands and is waiting for his ‘big break’ into the music business! Hobbies: When time allows, cycling, open air swimming, going to see live bands and spending time with his daughter Rose invariably being beaten playing tennis!
Peter Roberts MNAEA MARLA
ASSOCIATE DIRECTORPeter has worked in the profession since 1982; he started his career in Surbiton with one of the most respected independent agencies in Surrey. He managed a number of offices throughout the Elmbridge Kingston and Richmond boroughs. He joined Matthew in 2002 bringing with him his breadth of experience. Peter has returned to his roots having been born in Claygate where his parents still live. He is a member of both the National Association of Estate Agents and the Association of Residential Letting Agents. Peter’s passion outside property is target rifle shooting; he competes with his old school club in both Surrey, as well as national competitions at Bisley Shooting Ground. Sundays are spent walking the Surrey Hills with his wife Kate and dog ‘Chip’, followed up by a hearty Pub lunch!
Matthew Pierce and Peter Roberts are both members of the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) and the Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA); both are under the banner of ‘propertymark’, which is the leading membership body for property agents. Propertymark is the professional body for the property sector, whose aim is to promote the highest standards of professionalism and integrity among those working within the property industry, and to encourage members of the public to proactively seek out members when involved in any kind of property transaction. Membership of these recognised and prestigious trade bodies is evidence of our adherence to recognised codes of business conduct and a high standard of competence. We are both Associate Members of ‘The Guild Property Professionals’ which is a UK wide network of over 800 independent estate and letting agents, approved by Trading Standards, working together to raise and maintain property industry standards and help buyers and sellers move with confidence.
We are also members of The Property Ombudsman and adhere to their code of practice for residential and letting agents.
The Property Ombudsman provides free, impartial and independent service for the resolution of unresolved disputes between consumers and property agents.

We provide a professional service for landlords and tenants dealing with the letting of residential properties from one bedroom apartments to substantial detached family homes. As a well known village agent, we have a wealth of experience and understanding of the requirements of our landlords and tenants. Our expert knowledge of matching criteria associated with the village and surrounding districts ensures a tenancy is established in the best interest of all parties. We build well forged relationships with tenants with the result that many are ongoing renewals.
